We would like to thank you for the warm welcome Málstaður has received, as our user base grows day by day. Since Málstaður was launched, a great deal has changed and been added, all with the aim of providing the best possible service to our users. We have now redesigned the Málstaður interface to simplify how you use it.

Redesigned Málstaður – an integrated user experience

It's now even easier to use Málstaður.

The new interface better shows what you can do in Málstaður, so you don't miss a thing. We took a step in that direction when we added the right-hand sidebar to Málfríður, and now we're continuing the journey. Málstaður is also much more integrated, thanks in part to a new sidebar on the left of the interface.

The sidebar better communicates what can be done within Málstaður, instead of you having to search in a magic button. It also specifies more clearly what each solution within Málstaður does, and it's easy to navigate between solutions with a single click, instead of having to find a sub-tab in a menu as before. Your user profile and login options are also always visible in the sidebar.

In addition, the top part of the page has been significantly reduced, and the sidebar can be collapsed to maximise the space you have to work or play.

Finally, all colours have been coordinated and the entire presentation has been reviewed.

Dark mode

Another addition that we are very excited about is dark mode. You can set the whole of Málstaður to a dark appearance to reduce screen fatigue. Málstaður listens to your operating system's settings, but you can also adjust the appearance specifically within Málstaður by clicking on the sun/moon in the bottom left corner.

Increased benefits and updated terms

In addition, we have added to the benefits that come with access to Málstaður.

• It is now possible to send a 15-minute recording to Hreimur with free access and a fixed subscription to Snara or Netskrafl.

• Málfríður now proofreads up to 30,000 characters at a time with a fixed and flexible subscription to Málstaður.

• Erlendur now translates up to 100,000 characters at a time with a fixed and flexible subscription to Málstaður.

User survey

In the coming days, we will be launching a user survey to better understand our users' needs. We encourage everyone to participate and let us know what can be improved and how Málstaður is primarily used.

Finally

With these latest changes, we have taken another step towards a more integrated Málstaður with a better user experience flow.

The changes will make many things easier for us going forward, and we have many exciting things in the pipeline. This includes, among other things, direct access to Málstaður's APIs within the flexible subscription.
